This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive and innovative environment.We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our Dispensary team, contributing to the delivery and development of pharmacy services at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital and Associated Services Division. This role offers career progression opportunities and the chance to work within a diverse skill mix of technical staff, enhancing patient experiences at ward level. Band 4 pharmacy technician candidates must have the National Certificate in Pharmacy Services and Scottish Vocational Qualification Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent. Candidates will be required to evidence registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)About the Role.As part of NHS Lothians Pharmacy & Medicines service, this role is focused on delivering clinically led, person-centred pharmaceutical care. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join the Dispensary delivering and developing pharmacy services to the Royal Edinburgh and Associated Services Division. The Royal Edinburgh Hospital and Associated Services (REAS) provides acute psychiatric and mental health services, which also includes the treatment of individuals with learning disabilities, dementia and the management of young peoples mental health.You will play a key role in providing high-quality pharmaceutical services within the Dispensary, contributing to the safe and effective use of medicines.Why Join Us?

About you.We are looking for someone with:

  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • A Certificate in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) and an SVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and development, a professional attitude, and a passion for working in healthcare.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care and supporting a patient-centred approach.
  • A strong alignment with NHS Lothians values and a willingness to contribute to our dynamic team.
  • Flexibility to support evening and weekend working when required.
