You’ll assist and work closely with hiring managers from all areas of our organization to assess their needs and strategize their growth approach. To be a true strategic talent acquisition business partner is to understand what is happening in and outside your organization and bring that information to the business to help them make better talent decisionsKey Accountabilities

  • Communicate with Hiring Managers and teams to research roles and generate effective pipelines.
  • Use a multi-channel approach to find the perfect fit for McCain’s jobs; creative sourcing, events, meet-ups, fairs, etc.
  • Conduct full-cycle recruitment including resume screening, phone interviews, scheduling, feedback solicitation, candidate communication, offers, negotiation and onboarding.
  • Be a brand ambassador for McCain Foods and assist in building and developing our employer brand
  • Maintain impeccable organization and constantly re-assess priorities while working on multiple roles at once. This also includes the ability to quickly pull data on your hiring activity and share that with key people in the hiring process to create a better overall approach.
  • Collaborate across the organization on special projects that will elevate the Talent Acquisition practice.
  • Develop candidate pipelines using a variety of sourcing methods and becoming an expert in the business areas you support.
  • Conduct interviews to assess candidates, make hiring recommendations and provide support and counsel to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Manage the job offer process, including negotiation, and consultation.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand current and future recruitment needs for Director and below roles.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of corporate and/or agency talent acquisition experience
  • Strong business acumen with experience recruiting active and passive candidates through various methods: networking, internet, networking communities, website, referrals, university relations, and other creative methods
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with a passion to contribute to the organization’s reputation and success.
  • Experience partnering with senior level managers and interviewers to gain an in-depth understanding of the position, personality and culture sought
  • Experience in recruiting for a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Food Production company is an asset
  • Proven success using a variety of sourcing strategies including proactive sourcing techniques using social media (i.e. LinkedIn Recruiter) and referral generation
