Platform Software Engineer

**This is an onsite role based in our Mendrisio HQs in Switzerland.
 
Nothing is more important to our team of cyber security experts than creating the world’s best OT and IoT visibility and security solutions. We are seeking a passionate individual who thrives on challenges, is skilled in programming with high-level languages and is also proficient with low-level, hardware-adjacent concepts and technologies. 
 
Our firmware runs on our Nozomi Networks physical sensors as well as virtualized environments, Docker containers and cloud environments, AWS and Azure.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and improving our multi-architecture firmware,
• building and maintaining the Nozomi operating systems that are based on FreeBSD and GNU/Linux
• creation of Docker, VM, and Cloud Images
• Create automated tests to ensure our firmware is unbreakable and reliable
• Experimenting and benchmarking new industrial-grade hardware
• Manage and build pipelines to produce artifacts and run tests

 
To be successful in this opportunity, you should have:

• Good and solid experience with high-level languages such as Ruby, Go, and/or Python.
• Experience with Bash or Bourne shell
• Proven *nix knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of Docker, Terraform, VMware virtual environment, and AWS knowledge
• Extensive networking knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, …)
• Strong DevOps mindset
• Automated Testing experience
• Eager to improve one’s knowledge of hardware
• Field experience with Agile Methodologies
• Ability to operate in settings with strong confidentiality and data privacy protocols
• GitHub Action nice to have
• PostgreSQL nice to have
