There is no on-call or weekend work to allow for a strong work life balance!You will be part of a forward thinking, innovative health care team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising of physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 52 prisons across the country. You will be closely supported and mentored by our Team Lead Podiatrist, and this combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, you will be provided with an excellent supportive learning environment.Main duties of the jobHMP Bullingdon in Bicester is a Category B local prison holding both remanded and sentenced prisoners, accommodating male adults from 18+. HMP Grendon in Aylesbury is a Category B adult male prison and is jointly managed with HMP Springhill which is a Category D adult male prison which is situated next to one another and HMP Huntercombe in Henley-on-Thames is a category C adult male prison for a foreign national population. This role requires the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the offender healthcare setting who may have complex and/or chronic presentation. You will need to determine clinical diagnosis and clinical treatment, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.With this in mind, you will be HCPC registered with post registration experience assessing and treating a range of conditions including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies and nail surgery.
