The University of Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Department is hiring a Post Doctoral Associate for the Shemesh lab. The positions responsibilities include the following:
Leading projects on glial cell-targeted gene therapy.
Leading projects on genetically encoded nanoparticles for cancer photothermal therapy and imaging.
Presenting findings at conferences.
Preparing and applying for patents.
Preparing manuscripts to be submitted to peer-reviewed journals.
Collaborating with labs from the Neurobiology department at Pitt, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, UPMC Children’s Hospital, and Carnegie Mellon University.
A PhD degree in biomedical engineering is required, and 3+ years of experience is required.
