Our dedicated faculty members explore a wide range of perspectives, including biomechanical, historical, neuromotor, pedagogical, philosophical, physiological, psychological, and sociocultural dimensions of human movement, physical activity, recreation, and exercise.Position SummaryThe candidate will work with Dr. Valerie Carson, Chief Scientific Officer of ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity for Children & Youth (Early Years), ParticipACTION, and the Report Card Research Committee to develop and disseminate the 2026 Report Card on Physical Activity for Children & Youth – Early Years Edition. As part of this work, the candidate will have the opportunity to attend Report Card meetings, network with ParticipACTION and top reserachers in the field, and disseminate Report Card findings through a peer-review publication and conference presentation. They may also have the opportunity to engage in media interviews related to the Report Card. To help strengthen the publication record of the candidate, they will also have the opportunity to conduct secondary data analysis of exisiting projects in Dr. Carson’ Behavioural Epidemiology Laboratory and/or national datasets and lead the preparation of conference abstracts and manuscripts. Dr. Carson will work with the candidate to apply for scholarships as one possible avenue to extend the position beyond 1 year.Duties
