You will have extensive prior experience in leading delivery of significant business outcomes for senior partners. Typically you will have experience of leading teams of 25+ people, though ability to drive outcomes at an appropriate level is more important than team size. You will be able to plan, schedule and monitor work to meet business outcomes including time, cost and quality requirements.Key responsibilities of the role are summarised below:Client EngagementResponsible for the delivery of 6point6 services, ensuring client expectations are metEnsure trusted partnerships are established quickly in order to always act in the best interests of our clientsCollaborate with the Sector Director and Engagement Lead to fully understand client expectations and to help shape our commitmentsEnsure a smooth and consistent delivery approach throughout, in line with our Delivery principles and practicesEnsure all project / service decisions are aligned with our wider commitments to the clientBe key point of contact for any scope requests / adjustmentsBe a servant leader, helping to build strong and high-performance teamsCultivate strong relationships with key partnersDeliveryDetermine and define project scope and objectivesPredict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient mannerPrepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements and track project costs in order to meet budgetFacilitate release and sprint planning, daily scrum, backlog grooming and retrospective ceremoniesCreate data-driven dashboards to highlight team performance and proactively find opportunities for adjustment and improvement – e.g. story points delivered, estimation variance and sprint velocityDevelop and manage a detailed backlog / project schedule and work planProvide project updates to various stakeholders about strategy and progressMaintain a comprehensive RAID log and provide regular reports on unblocking impediments and mitigating issues and risksEnsure processes are in place in line with our standardsSupport the continuous improvement of delivery and account management practiceCollaboration with the Delivery Practice on forecasts, client business development, RFP responses, and development of financial models to ensure engagement profitabilityAssist in business development activities, proposals, bid writing and pre-salesParticipate in the recruitment and onboarding of new staffQualificationsExtensive project management experienceExperience in leading highly motivated, cross functional, multi-disciplinary engineering and creative teamsPragmatism in delivery at all times – know when to use or blend agile and waterfall frameworkExperience in and with the full software development lifecycleExperience embedding and implementing agile delivery techniquesMust be able to deconstruct complex business needs into clear and simple playable user stories, with agreed acceptance criteriaMust be able to manage a backlog and run regular shaping exercises with business and technical contributorsUnderstanding of the traditional waterfall delivery process, specifically where it makes valuable contributions and where it has limitationsExperience working in Large ITIL driven enterprise organisations, Certified in ITIL would be desired but not essentialFamiliarity or working knowledge of UK Digital Service Standards and the GDS service design manualIdeally Active SC Clearance and experience in the Defence sector.As a technology consultancy, we look for people who can deliver both exceptional solutions and work as true partners across the organisation.
