Product Owner, Product & Channel Management (Permanent)Hybrid 2 days in Burgh Heath, Epsom, and 3 days remote workingCompetitive salary, up to 10% annual bonusGrade 437.5 hours per weekRole in a nutshell: Supporting the Marketing and Product team, acting as the Product Owner in the end-to-end management of digital products and services, focused on customer self-service with TFSUK. This includes designing, developing, and introducing new products, and reviewing the performance of existing products to make sure they are performing as intended, delivering value to TFSUK and good outcomes for our customers.A bit about the Department: The Marketing team are mainly responsible for creating and promoting customer finance offers that help support the sale of new and used cars, and the accompany customer communications. Product Management is a new addition to the Marketing Department and has been introduced to help deliver an expanded range of products, services and sales channels, with a particular focus on improving our digital coverage.For this role the ideal candidate will need:

  • Experience in a Product Owner or Project Management position
  • Technical knowledge in the digital platform landscape, with the ability to translate to stakeholders with varying levels of understanding
  • A customer-first mindset and approach

What you’ll be doing:With support from the Product & Channel Manager, you will own the on-going development of our digital customer communication channels / journeys, including but not limited to Customer Portals, Website Help Centre and Conversational AI tools.

  • Acting as the liaison between key internal stakeholders to capture, refine and prioritise requirements to meet customer, business and regulatory needs
  • Oversee activities and act as the day-to-day contact for relevant third party vendors, ensuring they are performing as expected
  • Seek to maximise product value by defining desirable product features and benefits
  • Managing and optimising the product backlog, ensuring it is visible and well understood by key stakeholders
  • Ensuring stakeholders (internal and external) are kept informed of product developments throughout
  • Reviewing the on-going performance of existing products against various criteria including commercial results, customer experience and regulatory compliance
  • Creating, analysing and presenting Management Information (e.g. performance data) to provide management oversight and to inform decision making.
  • Any other duties as required by your Line Manager.

  • Actively benchmarking against other TFS markets and external Financial Services providers with a view to identifying best practice / innovations
  • Opportunities to participate in “Kaizen” (continuous improvement) and “TWOW” (Toyota Ways of Working) activities to improve workflows and processes
  • Supporting projects arising from the TFS Europe & Africa Innovation Hub

Key Experience and skills:

  • Experience in a Product Owner or Project Management position (ideally with a professional qualification e.g. PRINCE2)
  • Technical knowledge and ability to translate to stakeholders with varying levels of understanding
  • Experience building strong working relationships, communicating and influencing stakeholders at all levels
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, interpret significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Some experience bringing new digital products / services to market and managing throughout their lifecycle
  • Basic understanding of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulation
  • Some familiarity of financial products, e.g. Personal Contract Purchase(PCP), Hire Purchase (HP)
