They must be open to change and have good stress management skills.In your future role as a Production Engineer, you will:

  • Be responsible for the planning of activities and the resources required to produce and ship the required quantity and quality of chlorate, in addition to being responsible for production performance indicators. Must face several challenges regarding the plant’s efficiency, optimization of material and personal resources, while supporting safe operations for employees, customers, and the community, in a work environment that promotes the development of all employees.
  • Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement tools (5S, Lean, etc.) and in reliability meetings;
  • Carry out process changes guided by the management of change process (MOC);
  • Lead investigation meetings related to incidents and near-misses in the process (RCPS);
  • Provide technical support to production and shipping departments to maintain and optimize operations;
  • Monitor production performance indicators for the plant (TRG/OEE, number of shutdowns, etc.);
  • Participate in the development and updates of standard operating procedures (SOP);
  • Participate in training and maintaining employee knowledge in their department;
  • Work closely with the technical assistant to prioritize work in the plant to maintain production standards (master the overall process).

  • Engineering degree or training with comparable experience
  • Experience in the chemical industry
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Experience with work permits and lockout/tagout concepts
  • Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma
  • Good team spirit
  • Proficiency in French, spoken and written, with knowledge of English
  • Proficiency in Office Suite, good command of commonly used computer software, and ability to learn other software. Knowledge of SAP

Il doit être ouvert aux changements et avoir une bonne gestion du stress.Dans votre futur rôle d’Ingénieur de production, vous allez :

  • Être responsable de la planification des activités et des ressources requises afin de produire et expédier la quantité et la qualité de chlorate requis, en plus d’être responsable des indicateurs de performance de la production. Doit relever plusieurs défis vis-à-vis l’efficacité de l’usine, l’optimisation des ressources matérielles et personnelles en soutenant des opérations sécuritaires pour les employés, les clients et la communauté dans un climat de travail favorisant le développement de tous les employés;
  • Participe à l’implantation d’outils d’amélioration continue (5S, Lean, etc.) et aux rencontres de fiabilité;
  • Effectuer des changements de procédé encadrés par le processus de gestion du changement (MOC).
  • Diriger des rencontres d’investigation en lien avec des incidents et quasi-incidents du procédé (RCPS);
  • Fournir un support technique aux départements de la production et de l’expédition pour maintenir et optimiser les opérations;
  • Effectuer le suivi d’indicateurs de performance de la production de l’usine (TRG/OEE, nombre d’arrêts, etc.);
  • Participer à l’élaboration et aux mises à jour des procédures standard d’opération (SOP);
  • Participer à la formation et au maintien des acquis des employés de son département;
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l’assistant technique dans le but de prioriser les travaux dans l’usine pour maintenir les standards de production (maîtrise l’aspect général du procédé)

Nous croyons que vous apportez :

  • Diplôme d’ingénierie ou formation avec expérience comparable
  • Expérience en industrie chimique
  • Expérience en milieu syndiqué
  • Expérience avec le concept de permis de travail et cadenassage
  • Expérience dans l’utilisation d’outils d’amélioration continue tels que Lean Six Sigma
  • Bon esprit d’équipe
  • Maitrise du français, parlé et écrit, connaissances en anglais
  • Connaissance de la suite Office, bonne maîtrise des logiciels informatiques les plus couramment utilisés et aptitude pour apprendre d’autres logiciels. Connaissance de SAP
