Premier Work Support are pleased to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business, based in Crayford who are recruiting for a permanent Production Manager.Responsible for the entire production area, ensuring products are produced in the most efficient manner at the highest quality level. With the backing of the Manufacturing Manager to drive continuous improvements and help push forward with further efficiencies.Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the corrective action system in the factory.
• Responsible to actively support the VA/VE area in the factory to ensure overall cost reduction and process improvement initiatives – be a driver of all these initiatives.
• Ensure a quality measuring system is in place to ensure a first-time right mindset is in place and supported by all production personnel.
• Introduce, support and drive the Investment In People programme in the production area.
• Responsible for hiring the right personnel in area to support the business requirements.
• Attend meetings to communicate any planning related matters.
• Generate reports and complete dashboards for all KPI data required.
• Responsible for the customer returns process of analysis and corrective action.
• Actively work with and participate with NPD in any new product developments and ECR’s in order to ensure required quality and products standards are met and maintained.

To be successful in this role you must have strong people management skills, strong analytical skills and full understanding of production (efficiency reports, scrap, downtime with lean experience). Proven track record in running a manufacturing facility and experience in Lean methodologies is a requirement.This is a Monday – Friday role with the hours of 7am – 4pmIf this is the role for you apply today!
