Also, Compass One’s exclusive partnership with Press Ganey leverages rich analytics to better understand how to improve experiences for patients, family, customers, caregivers, and the community.Job SummaryThis position shall administer Compass One’s Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance to all criteria of the Patient Food Dining Program Quality Monitoring System through auditing patient dining program standards, coordinating and ensuring patient/resident satisfaction surveys are completed, and conducting training of associates, supervisors and managers on program standards.
Duties:

  • Review, update, and implement Operating Standard Procedures for Patient Dining Programs
  • Participate in menu development and conduct nutrient analysis
  • Coordinate and carry out annual patient/resident satisfaction surveys
  • Monitor and summarize Quality Monitoring Program data
  • Plan for and support patient dining mobilizations.
  • Train associates on program standards – initial and reoccurring based on unit needs.
  • Responsible for reviewing and keeping Compass One Healthcare Nutrition Standards accurate.
  • Evaluate and propose Compass One standard front of house equipment and program smallwares.
  • Conduct Compass One contingency manual updates (yearly).
  • Monitor and report on audit results for the region.
  • Build relationships with hospital clinical registered dietitian representatives.
  • Regularly review projects with managers to ensure tasks are performed properly and quality of work is maintained at expected levels.

  • Current active status as a Registered Dietitian (membership with the College of Dietitians of Ontario)
  • Ability to travel to units (2-3 days per week onsite/in-units – majority in Ontario, annual travel to Newfoundland). Must have a valid Driver’s License, driving record in good standing, and a vehicle (this position will require travel between sites). Mileage is reimbursed. Continuous overnight stays in hotels (i.e., 3-5 days at a time).
  • Strong desire and ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision, including excellent follow-through skills.
  • Outstanding client relationship management skills and a passion for excellence in service delivery
  • Management and leadership experience in healthcare food services/dietary settings
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement; process drive and ability to move forward with improvements.
  • Current with the latest innovative trends in patient food delivery models
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment, and the ability to provide guidelines and execution of cleaning standards.
  • Strong writing, presentations and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows application, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Set an example for associates to follow by incorporating safe work practices in all aspects of their activities and abiding by the Clients & Company’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws.
  • Advanced Food Safety Training (AFST)
