Join a team of specialists at Honeywell’s UOP Business based in Bracknell, dedicated to delivering comprehensive program analysis, process improvement, and metric development. In this role, you will collaborate with Integrated Project Teams to devise effective project plans and establish cost and schedule baselines. You will also be responsible for preparing and publishing detailed metrics and reports. Your analytical skills will be utilized to assess variances and ensure compliance with corporate guidelines across various teams. Your insights will significantly contribute to enhancing project and program performance that impacts one or more site locations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the development of project plans and the creation of cost and schedule baselines.
- Gain a thorough understanding of project contracts, scope of work, and terms and conditions.
- Prepare and disseminate metrics and reporting relevant to project analysis.
- Conduct variance analysis (planned cost vs. actuals), assess project performance, and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Examine project baselines and execution processes to gauge success.
- Identify root causes of issues, recommend corrective actions to elevate project performance.
- Employ Cost Control Techniques to monitor and manage the financial budgets for projects.
- Support monthly predictions of costs and customer billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain project schedules, track progress (% complete), and monitor milestones.
- Oversee the balance of receivables and payables for designated projects.
- Actively engage in project review meetings to provide clear, precise project assessments and offer proactive recommendations that drive successful project completion.
- Track Change Orders and Internal Variances with diligence.
- Analyze project risks and opportunities, develop contingency budgets, and manage cost risk assessments through run-down curves.
- Effectively build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience within a Project Controls role ideally from a similar industry
- Experience with cost controls, holds an understanding of project finance and hold business acumen
- Relevant degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Finance or Accounting
- Able to demonstrate Leadership, Negotiation, and Organizational skills
- Able to be flexible and think outside the box
- Proactive, helpful, constructive, and ethical
