From the development of business plans through to the implementation of project solutions, you can make a difference.PHSA is seeking a passionate Senior Project Manager to support the facility needs of our many programs such as BC Children’s Hospital and BC Women’s Hospital and Health Care Centre, BC Cancer, BC Mental Health & Substance Use, the Centre for Disease Control and BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS).Join our growing Facilities Management: Project Management Office team and contribute to the planning and development of the future of healthcare. Reporting to the Director, Project Management Office, the Senior Project Manager will lead a number of medium to large sized clinical space and building infrastructure projects across the PHSA portfolio.What you’ll do

• Implement important renovation and building infrastructure upgrades in our facilities using PHSA’s PM methodologies and tools to implement projects from initiation through to close out and warranty.
• Provide leadership for the planning, initiation and completion of facility projects – clarify and develop scope details, develop options, create budgets and schedules and identify and mitigate risks.
• Lead the development of project business plans, tenant improvement templates and other funding initiatives in collaboration with clinical partners through the preparation of feasibility studies, analysis, and solution development.
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders and governance committees such as PHSA leadership, project co-leaders, contractors, and vendors, with respect to the project status, ongoing issues, progress updates, challenges and opportunities.
• Provide training and oversight to other project managers and project leaders in the delivery of projects within your portfolio including supporting them in reporting to the Director, Project Management Office.
• Procure and manages consultants, contractors or vendors in accordance with PHSA’s procurement policies.
• Assure proper project close out including project documentation submissions, deficiency resolution, warranty reviews, financial reconciliation and sharing lessons learned.
• Adhere to PHSA policies, codes and regulations in the delivery of projects.

What you bringQualifications

• A professional project management designation (PMP)
• A professional degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Seven (7) years’ recent related experience in facilities/capital project design, planning and management working with complex, multi-disciplinary facility projects with applicable codes and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills including demonstrated experience in business plan and/or briefing note writing.
• Strong negotiation skills to relate effectively with internal and external clients, members of interdisciplinary teams and external vendors.
• Knowledge of Health Care or laboratory space standards would be an asset.
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
• This position is based in Vancouver and may require travel to attend various sites throughout the province. A vehicle and valid driver’s license are required.

Job Type: Regular, Full-TimeSalary Range: $106,026 – $152,413 /year. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
