This might be the opportunity you have been looking for.NHS Borders is facing a number of challenges in meeting our aspirations to deliver high quality healthcare for the people of the Borders. Our Programme Management Office (PMO) delivers a variety of projects including capital, efficiency and transformation projects and it aims to deliver improvements in a challenging financial environment by ensuring we work as effectively and productively as possible.We are progressing a programme of change which will see us do things very differently and we looking for two project support officers to support this work.We are looking for individuals who have project, technical and administrative skills, are great at multi-tasking and used to working in a team environment. To be successful in this role you need to be very confident using excel, have experience collecting and analysing data and have experience managing electronic files. You should also be familiar with project documentation and the creation of reports.In this role you will support project managers and senior project managers who are working with clinical services to progress projects and implement new service plans which will have an area wide impact and result in Better Health, Better Care and Better Value for our patients. In doing so, you will be required to liaise, communicate and work with services across NHS Borders, with local partner agencies and potentially other NHS BoardsThis is a fixed term contract for 6 months for 18.5 hours per week. Weekly working pattern to be agreed with line manager, likely to include Tuesday and Wednesday. The post is hybrid working, mostly remote working with requirement to attend meetings in-person several days per month at NHS Borders sites at Borders General Hospital or Newstead.NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
