DescriptionOur client, an engineering consulting firm with offices in Canada and the US, provide design and engineering services to various industries such as oil & gas, pulp & paper, power and food & beverage.They are currently seeking an experienced Protection & Controls Electrical Engineer to join their team in Calgary to support the transmission & distribution group. They will work on project teams to create designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of projects including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities. The P&C Electrical Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical plans according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.The physical layout and design requirement is specific for high voltage substations so this person needs to understand P&C SCADA on brownfield and greenfield projects.Skills & QualificationsMUST HAVES:3+ years experience as an electrical engineerEPC background preferredProtection & Control design experienceStrong computer skills in Microsoft OfficeProficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation, 2D and 3D programsUnderstanding of ANSI and IEEE StandardHas led a design of a project from begin to completion and performed quality reviews on designsHas worked on several large projects at onceNICE TO HAVES:P.EngAbility to travelSCADA experienceSOFT SKILLS:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 – $43.00/hr.Workplace TypeThis is a hybrid position in Calgary,AB.À propos d’Actalent:Actalent est un chef de file mondial des services d’ingénierie et de sciences et des solutions de talents.
