Public Works Skilled Worker in Wilbraham, Massachusetts

PUBLIC WORKS SKILLED WORKER – Water Division EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: The
Public Works Skilled Worker is responsible for skilled and unskilled
labor assisting in the maintenance and repair of roads, sidewalk,
drainage systems, pipes, pump stations, and other public works
infrastructure and buildings, as well as the Town’s snow and ice
removal operation and emergency response. MIN. QUALIFICATIONS: HS
diploma or equivalent, must obtain Class B Commercial Motor Vehicle
License with tanker endorsement within 6 months from date of hire, must
be able to proficiently operate hand tools, power tools, and perform
general equipment maintenance. Ability to plow snow and perform
horizontal construction such as utility pipe installation. Up to one
year of related work experience. Must maintain a valid Class B Motor
Vehicle Driver’s license. Must pass a Criminal Offender Records Inquiry
and pre-employment physical including drug screen as a condition of
employment. LOCATION: DPW Building, 2721 Boston Road COMPENSATION: Grade
2, $21.63/hr to $27.72/hr DOQ, 40 hours per week, union position, full
