To learn more about CMH, please visit our website at .Job Description:Salary$25.307ScheduleMonday to FridayShiftPosition Summary:This position provides general clerical support to the Purchasing department part time Monday to Friday during the day and reports directly to Manager Purchasing and Supply Chain. The primary responsibility is to act as a liaison between clients (staff, internal customers, suppliers, and visitors) and Purchasing Supply Chain and act as the first point of contact when requests for service are required. The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.Posted hours do not constitute a guarantee that shifts will not be subject to change.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reception, communication with suppliers along with supporting both the purchasing and distribution department
  • Create, process, and update Purchase Orders (PO’s) daily, expediting when required
  • Retrieve and review EDI acknowledgements
  • Process product returns and service/repair Purchase Orders as required
  • Run backorder report and follow-up on all outstanding orders advising end users, where applicable
  • Assist buyers with Requests for Quotations (RFQ’s)
  • Work with Receiving to resolve any delivery issues
  • Maintain and update vendor and item data in Meditech
  • Run Reports, Back Order, Accounts payable, Electronic Requisitions and month end reports
  • Reconcile AP exceptions as required
  • Maintain and update Meditech
  • Create and post schedule for Distribution Staff
  • Log distribution departments schedule, including vacation and absences in Meditech
  • Data entry, filing, and clerical duties as required
  • All other duties as per job fact sheet.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of current clerical experience working in Meditech is required
  • Post Secondary Education in purchasing or equivalent required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook is required
  • Strong computer skills and some knowledge of computer databases and office equipment required
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of Materials Management module considered an asset
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities
  • Ability to interact directly with suppliers and hospital staff is required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to complete multiple complex tasks and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and open to change
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
