You will oversee inspections, tests, and documentation in welding, mechanical, rotating equipment, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and client specifications.This role requires close collaboration with supervisors, personnel, and clients to uphold CAM’s Quality Control Program and deliver world-class results.This temporary, full-time position is expected to last 2-3 weeks or until project completion.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Uphold CAM’s Quality Control Program in your assigned area and ensure personnel follow approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Continuously review engineering drawings, client specifications, and updates to ensure compliance with the latest revisions.
  • Conduct spot checks and quality audits to maintain compliance with codes and client specifications.
  • Perform inspections on fabrications, installations, assemblies, and equipment.
  • Verify material traceability, welding procedures, and qualifications of welders.
  • Supervise and coordinate non-destructive examinations (NDE) and review related reports.
  • Witness and document pressure tests, flange bolt-ups, and torqueing/tensioning requirements.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections, dimensional checks, and orientation verifications.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain all quality-related documentation, including QC turnover packages.
  • Submit “as-built” drawings and ensure all deviations are documented.
  • Prepare detailed reports and ensure all data reports are completed accurately.
  • Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when deviations occur.
  • Liaise with clients, inspectors, and Authorized Inspectors (AI) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Provide field-level technical support for welding and quality issues.
  • Supervise welder performance qualification tests and ensure proper training and orientation.
  • Conduct audits on electrode storage, calibration of equipment, welding parameters, and material control.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, client specifications, and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong commitment to safety and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Professional engineer certification or relevant qualifications preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance, small capital projects, or plant turnarounds.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of management and clients.
