Setsquare is actively hiring for a Quantity Surveyor for a long term contract based in Woolwich.Job title : Quantity Surveyor
Location : Woolwich

Project sector : Health-care projectEssential Experience:

• Cost control, planning, forecasting and estimation
• Understanding and contributing to development of client requirements through the RIBA lifecycle
• Valuations – including value engineering and management
• Experience of JCT Design & Build and/or NEC 3/4 contractual frameworks and methods
• Feasibility studies
• Cost benefit analysis
• Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.)
• Risk analysis evaluations
• Dispute resolution
• Managing project funding sources and submitting bids
• Improving procurement processes and workflow procedures in Oracle NetSuite and QBT’s proprietary system
• Improving build costs and developing cost estimating capabilities
• Ability to use Cost-X and knowledge/experience of Autodesk BIM 360 or Revit software

Key skills:

• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Team worker with good interpersonal, behavioural and collaboration skills
• Organised and methodological with a keen eye for detail
• IT skills and highly proficient with Microsoft software
• Maths skills / numerically & analytically minded
