Job Description:OverviewFairview Health Services is hiring a X-ray Technologist to join our medical imaging department at our M Health Fairview facility location in Highland Park, MN.Eligible for a Sign on bonus up to $10,000!The X-ray Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.Schedule: This is a 1.0FTE position (80 hour per 2 week pay period). This position works day/evening shifts and every other weekend.Week 1: Thursday, 10:00AM to 8:00PM, Friday, 9:30AM to 8:00PM and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00AM to 8:00PMWeek 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 9:30AM to 8:00PM and Thursday, 10:00AM to 8:00PM.Benefits: This position is eligible for benefits. Responsibilities Job DescriptionMaintains patient carePerforms examinationsIdentifies relevant data from images accurately.Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professionalParticipates in crafting a culture of patient safetyDemonstrates knowledge of emergency preparednessVerify patient identification and documentationConnect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of examAchieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocolEnsures patient data integrityAccurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely mannerAccurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archivingParticipates as an active team memberOrients and mentors new employees and studentsParticipates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiativesResponsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for positionCleans and maintains rooms and suppliesProvides coordinated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality careContributes to a positive work environmentPerforms other duties as assignedAccurately operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelinesIdentifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working accuratelyMaintains a high level of proficiencyAccepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facilityParticipates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendationsDemonstrating the ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.Demonstrating Commitment to Customers, Fellow Employees and Fairview
QualificationsRequiredCompletion of an accredited radiologic technology programARRT Certification/RegistrationBasic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire – from American Heart Association or American Red CrossPreferred1 year experience as a technologist
