SummaryRail Equipment Engineer – Managed Service LightingCrewe – National – Varied ShiftsMonday to Friday – 7.00 – 4.30pmMidweek nights and weekend shiftsSpeedy are the UK’s leading hire provider with the widest range of tools, specialist hire equipment, plant and support services – everything for every job!We are seeking an experienced Rail Equipment Engineer to join our Managed Service Lighting division in Erith.Duties:

• Daily preventative and breakdown maintenance activities on rail tool equipment and lighting
• Ensure service schedules are up to date and repair faulty rail equipment as necessary to ensure it remains available for hire
• Work additional hours for breakdowns and time sensitive project work.
• Maintenance often needs to be carried out overnight so you will be expected to work nights, shift payments included

What you’ll need:

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills and able to use tools effectively
• Lighting managements experience
• Lighting and power product knowledge
• Personal Track Safety
• ICI and BTA rail permits
• The ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
• Full valid driving licence
• Basic understanding of Health & Safety, relevant to the role
• Commitment to learn and develop
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
