This role is critical in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly by assisting with sourcing, purchasing, and maintaining optimal inventory levels while adhering to budgetary constraints. The Purchasing Assistant will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to secure quality materials at competitive prices and ensure seamless product availability.Areas of Responsibility

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage order confirmations.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to maintain stock availability.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, potential suppliers, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Work closely with the supply chain team to forecast demand and plan purchases.
• Support e-commerce operations by ensuring product availability and timely sourcing.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of purchases, pricing, and supplier data.
• Assist in identifying and resolving supply chain issues to optimize purchasing efficiency.

Capabilities and Skills

• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, purchasing processes, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in analyzing supplier performance, pricing trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Familiarity with inventory control systems and procurement software.
• Knowledge of e-commerce purchasing requirements is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Job Type

• Full-time
• Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
• Expected Hours: 40 per week
