Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Real Estate Data Analyst to join the DCS AMER Real Estate Group. 

This role will assist the Real Estate Director in supporting the department’s unit at critical junctures to ultimately create a holistic strategy as it relates to the department’s data requirements. The primary responsibility will be to analyze real estate transactions, projects, and facility data and providing the highest quality assurance and quality control. This includes collecting and organizing data, generating reports, and providing recommendations based on your analysis. This role will be responsible for supporting Real Estate Directors with approximately 5 million square feet and 200+ office locations. 

This role will be a hybrid work arrangement to include a combination of remote and travel inside of the USA, Canada and South America. This role will be based in Los Angeles, CA. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the general needs of the Real Estate Directors who are responsible for corporate real estate service delivery to the Americas (US, Canada, and Latin America).
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control. It is a combination of quality assurance, the process or set of processes used to measure and assure the quality of a product, and quality control, the process of ensuring data is accurate and services meet the department’s expectations.
  • Monitor and update transaction dates, notices, and critical dates.
  • Gather and process documentation associated with transactions.
  • Manage electronic lease files contained in multiple platforms and transmittal of information to stakeholders such as Share Services, portfolio, project, and Facility management.
  • Liaise between various groups within Americas Real Estate, departments across the company, and external companies.
  • Individually manage small-scale transactions at the Real Estate Director’s direction and oversight.
  • Support M&A due diligence processes, accounting treatments post-closure, and the integration of leases and/or owned property from newly acquired entities.
  • Provide general support to the overall Americas Real Estate and Facilities Services for initiatives, such as data audits, validation, and clean-up.
  • Developing and maintaining Database and data systems by collecting and analyzing data related to real estate transactions, such as property values, rental rates, and vacancy rates.
  • Performing analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data with relation to Corporate Real Estate.
  • Conducting market research and analyzing trends in the real estate industry.
  • Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to the department.
  • Identifying potential opportunities and developing strategies to optimize performance.
  • Collaborating with other real estate professionals, such as brokers, investors, and property managers, to develop comprehensive strategies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (with emphasis on business, economics, finance, or real estate) or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Ability to travel approx. 20% with travel inside of the USA and travel into Canada and South America – a valid U.S. Passport, or the ability to obtain one, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must understand corporate real estate leasing, space programming and planning, facilities, and space management principles.
  • Must understand basic real estate leasing financial terms and analysis methods.
  • Experience with a real estate software system is strongly preferred.
  • Previous database data entry, reporting and/or data analysis and presentation is preferred
  • Candidates must have the ability to:
    • manage multiple assignments with little supervision
    • communicate complex and technical real estate terms.
    • work well in a fast-paced, process-oriented, and collaborative environment
  • Strong Mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze data
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain a schedule
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; ability for critical thinking
  • Team player, flexible, multi-tasker, excellent sense of customer service, and “can do” attitude
  • Must have excellent communication skills – writing, interpretation, judgment, and interpersonal style
  • Advanced skills in MS Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
