Receiving Clerk Assistant

A company that makes chocolate good’s and delicacies has a temp to hire opening on their team for a Receiving Clerk Assistant employee.

This amazing opportunity is located right here in the heart of Tacoma with a very rich history behind their brand!

This position is responsible for inspecting and processing deliveries and returns, ensuring compliance with quality control standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Tacoma, WA

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay:
$20.50 per hour

 Responsibilities:

• Regularly lift and load boxes of products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Document product and material movement within and out of the facility using computer systems.
• Conduct accurate inventory counts and maintain records of materials movement.
• Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages and prepare documentation for reordering.
• Transfer and store materials in designated areas, ensuring temperature and food safety compliance.
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely.
• Inspect incoming shipments for food safety compliance, record data, and collect samples for Quality Assurance.
• Check truck manifests against order requests, verify accuracy, and communicate discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
• Review and process material requests, tracking them in the computer system.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory tracking.

Ability to operate manual and electric pallet jacks.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for long periods.
