This position ensures the daily management of human capital and liaises with internal and external stakeholders to meet business needs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.ReportingThe Receiving Supervisor reports directly to the Senior Materials Manager.Core Competencies

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the receiving team to inspect and process inbound and outbound shipments in a timely fashion that meets or exceeds business needs.
- Inspect all aircraft parts against the receiving procedures outlined in the General Procedure Manual.
- Review receiving paperwork to ensure parts meet Canadian aircraft installation regulations, prepare batch files on a regular basis, maintain record filing, and accurately entering necessary information in the ERP system.
- Complete all required tags and labels to ensure compliance with the General Procedures Manual.
- Monitoring the General Procedures Manual for ongoing changes and ensuring daily receiving work remains compliant.
- Liaise with other Avmax receiving departments for change management and/or daily workload support.
- Review vendors against the approved vendor listing and participate in vendor supplier reporting.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Work with purchasing, shipping, project management and sales staff to expedite orders.
- Monitoring inbound shipments and the receiving bay by ensuring that pallets, crates, and boxes get organized, processed, and relocated in an effective manner.
- Provide general upkeep of he receiving and surrounding area outside (garbage, sweeping skid removal, and breaking down of lumber, cardboard, etc.).
- Visual and physical inspections for damage and shortage outlined in receiving inspections.
- Segregate all non-conforming parts and materials for active investigations.
- Supervise a team of employees, including delegation, training, performance evaluation, disciplinary actions, input on hiring and termination.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement and/or efficiency gains in business processes related to receiving, material handling, and distribution.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Genial, friendly manner.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (23kg).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Aviation experience is required.
- Experience with a computerized inventory system preferred. Quantum experience is considered an asset.
