Reconciliation Analyst, Operational Finance- 6 month FTC- ASAP StartWorking at our iconic office in Morely, Leeds, and virtually via Microsoft TeamsYour new role at NewDayReconciliation of key high-volume bank and internal control accounts daily, processing over 1 million transactions per day via an automated reconciliation tool (ReconNet).Processing financial data and maintaining documentation to a high standard of accuracy on a timely basis.Provide support to the operational areas for complex queries & issues.0-6 months you’ll deliver

• Performance of daily reconciliation activities, including the running of daily filters, interactive matching, and the escalation of aged items.
• Monthly ledger reconciliations, adjustments and transfers that are completed on time and accurately to minimize potential write-offs.
• Analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify discrepancies and highlight to key stakeholders such as Operations.
• Contributions to process improvement initiatives within the department to deliver defined business improvements.
• Documentation of processes and procedures that ensure reconciliations are completed according to our policies.
• Delivery of FCF within Operation Finance.
• Raising of issues & incidents, taking ownership for resolution & remediation of variances.

What you’ll bringWe need knowledge, experience + expertise in:

• Accounting environments, with a basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Relevant regulations and company policies.
• Understanding, analysing, and presenting large volumes of numerical data.

And would love you to know or learn:

• How to build and maintain excellent working relationships with a wide group in the business, building a level of mutual trust and respect.
• To take accountability for actions and remains responsible for assigned GL reconciliations.
• How to use role specific programmes and systems.
