NVA Canada is currently seeking a dynamic Recruiter to join our team!In this role, you will partner with key Operations Leaders and Hospital Leadership Teams to strategically source and attract outstanding Veterinarian talent across Ontario. You’ll have the challenge of filling each role with exceptional talent in a competitive candidate landscape. Every position presents an opportunity to be creative and think outside the box. You’ll leverage a variety of sourcing strategies, from niche job boards and social media to building strong relationships with veterinary students and professional groups, driving referrals and attending industry events.The ideal candidate brings a start-up mentality and has the ability (and excitement!) to own the full end-to-end recruiting process, deliver an outstanding candidate experience that represents NVA Canada’s values in the hiring market and be an extreme owner in your success. If this sounds like you – we want to hear from you!What You’ll Do

  • Partner with Operations and Hospital Leadership team members across Ontario to hire DVMs (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) and Hospital Managers, owning the full-cycle recruiting process from intake meeting to hire.
  • Source candidates through various channels for each role, including LinkedIn, job boards, social media, employee referrals, industry and networking events, building creative strategies for filling a portfolio of hiring needs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, coaching them on best practices, candidate experience and market trends. Proactively set expectations with hiring teams through consistent follow up and follow through, demonstrating value as a strategic recruiting partner.
  • Be a brand ambassador for NVA Canada, by attending industry conferences, student engagement events and networking meetups to connect with top talent, raise brand awareness and enhance our reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Drive a candidate assessment process that enables NVA Canada to hire the best Veterinarian talent that is right for us.
  • Build memorable, long-term candidate relationships that demonstrate our employer value proposition.
  • Support our team in various projects to uplevel our recruiting function.
  • Occasional travel, as required (~15-20%)

Who You Are

  • You have 3-5+ years of full life-cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment, including strong sourcing skills.
  • At least 2 years of in-house recruiting experience is required.
  • You take a solutions-focused, creative, and collaborative approach to strategic sourcing and attracting top talent.
  • You champion a positive candidate experience as an inclusive, approachable, and authentic recruiter.
  • You are deeply curious. You seek to really understand the business and the teams you are supporting, the people you are trying to recruit, and you’re constantly striving to be better at your craft.
  • Able to travel within Canada (15-20%)
  • Must be located in Ontario
