Supervision and Development of Staff
- Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises members of the catering team.
Financial Management and Analysis
- Works with all sites to ensure all internal events are within budget.
Safety and Sanitation
- Adheres to Health Department codes and OSHA and ADA regulations.
Culinary Programs
- Works with the regional chefs to make sure that all catering menu items meet Bon Appétit’s sustainability commitments, and the seasonal, trendy, and creative aspects Pinterest is looking for.
Customer Service and Client Relations
- Reviews and responds to all catering related feedback in a friendly and service-oriented manner, within 24 hours, documenting responses and copying the national team stakeholders and Client.
Special Events
- Acts as Special Event contact for internal promotions, pop-ups, and large-scale internal events.
Marketing and Sales
- Maintains client base while generating new client contacts.
Overall Management
- Teaches Bon Appétit philosophy and culture, emphasizing food made from scratch, friendly and attentive service and a safe and clean environment.
- Creates and implements programmatic projects and SOPs
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
Think you have what it takes to be our Regional Catering Manager? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you are the best fit:
- Ability to operate web-based ordering system, process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles. Experience with CaterTrax is a plus.
- Proficient with word processing and spread sheet applications.
- Education: Minimum of four (4) years college education, bachelor’s degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry including 3 years in management (preferably Catering Management) is required.
- Must be able keep a flexible schedule. While most business will be conducted during regular business hours, there will be times when events require late evenings and/or early mornings, and, on rare occasions, weekends/holidays.
- Ability to read, understand and speak English to perform essential functions of the job.
