We provide resources, support and engagement opportunities that are inclusive and accessible, making sure every student can build experiences that set them up for a lifetime of success.Consisting of aninterdisciplinary team of health professionals and support staff, Health & Wellness at University of Toronto aims to support graduate and undergraduate students in reaching their academic goals, engage students in their development and learning, and support their health and well-being by providing health education, clinical and consultation services.Your opportunity:The Registered Nurse (RN) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary health care team atthe University of Toronto Student Health and Wellness Centre.Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Clinical Operations (Registered Nurse) provides professional nursing care, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with establishedstandards of care, policies and procedures; while adhering to the University of Toronto Health and Wellness’ vision, mission and strategic plan. Inherit in this role are the knowledge, skills and attitudes specific to critical thinking and decisionmaking, ability to analyze and assess presenting physical and mental health concerns and exercising clinical judgement to collaborate with the medical team in the management of these health concerns.Duties include: performing a comprehensive and focused physical and mental health assessment that includes health history and relevant evaluation; conducting suicide and mental health risk assessments; developing appropriate health plans in collaboration with the client and other service providers;participating in client care case conferences to ensure coordinated, comprehensive and holistic services; participating in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of health promotion programs, screening programs, medical directives and policies/procedures; providing education related to healthy living, prevention of injury, illness and communicable diseases, care and treatment, and support systems as appropriate to the client situation.Your responsibilities will include:
