With the recent affiliation of Arnot Health and the establishment of Xtensys, an organization focused on the integration and strategic operations of this expanding health system, we are poised to become the premier care organization across New York.The Endoscopy department offers the opportunity to work with a variety of patients for elective, urgent, and emergent needs within the gastrointestinal system. The orientation period is up to 6 months long and can be tailored to individual needs. Employees are welcomed into a supportive and collaborative team with positive provider relationships, along with opportunities to expand their knowledge with organizational resources and opportunities.Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assess patients with a variety of needs. Use a person-centered care approach in the development of care, and effectively prioritize patient needs that are both expected and unanticipated.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact with other health care professional and patients.
• Demonstrate competence and resourcefulness in the implementation of the technical skills required to care for the patient. Demonstrates initiative in remaining current in the organization and department policies, procedures, and standards.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care giving, shows follow through on delivery, demonstrates critical thinking skills by making appropriate clinical decisions, proactively addresses actual and potential problems, and executing compliant clinical documentation.
• Assist with educating patients and families and serves as a resource on department standards for patient care.
• Schedule- Monday-Friday days w/call requirement.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Current NYS Registered Nursing

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous Medical Surgical experience preferred, willing to train.
• Will obtain BLS during introductory period. ACLS certification must be obtained prior to completion of the introductory period

Physical Requirements:

• Good dexterity and ability to stand in place for extended periods. Ability to move or lift patients with assistance.

Pay Range Disclosure:

• $39.63 to $48.18 per hour
