This permanent career opportunity is full-time (40-hour schedule). 8-hour shifts run between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm (i.e. 8:30pm – 5:30pm or 9am – 5pm or 9:30pm – 5:30pm) Monday to Friday (no nights, no weekends).The successful candidate will be provided with competitive pay (our client is open to discussion based on experience and number of years’ licensed as an RPhT in Canada), vacation entitlement as per company policy, a comprehensive benefits package, paid license and insurance, bonus potential and more.This is a direct-hire position, meaning that a successful candidate will be on the client’s payroll from day one. As a Technician in this non-retail pharmacy setting, you will work with other team members to process vial and blister pack prescriptions in a timely and accurate manner. Your primary focus will be checking and verification, collaborating with other members of the pharmacy staff, working with pharmacy software as needed, and completing other technical tasks. You will be trained on how to work with the software and automation used in the pharmacy’s operations and be responsible for ensuring that the utmost care is taken in the dispensing and delivery of prescriptions to patients. You will leverage your passion for patient care to produce and check prescriptions, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with standards and regulatory requirements. Other duties within the typical scope of a Registered Pharmacy Technician may also be required.Qualifications
– RPhT license or completion of Pharmacy Technician diploma program with license pending within the calendar year
– Candidates with experience as registered technicians in any pharmacy setting are encouraged to apply; new grads are welcome!
– There is potential for candidates with supervisor/leadership experience to be considered for more elevated roles
– Strong written verbal and computer skills are required
– Positive outlook with a strong work ethic required
– Deadline-oriented and strong prioritization skills are a must
– The ideal candidate is a self-motivated worker who is comfortable in dedicating themselves to a task through to its completion
