We make sure they have the capacity to react to extreme events and respond in a prepared, disciplined and organised fashion.We are currently looking for an experienced Reinsurance Broker to join our team. Focusing on our clients, you will work closely with senior members of the team in London to carry out and support the placement process. You will ideally have a good grasp of Property reinsurance, preferably US but not essential.
How you’ll make an impact

• Understand client needs and present each opportunity effectively to reinsurers
• Prepare presentations in Excel, Word and PowerPoint formats
• Assist renewal negotiation and help with contracts and endorsements with markets in London and overseas
• Contribute to reinsurance programme structuring and pricing
• Ability to engage with colleagues in discussions on these subjects both internally and with clients
• Manage relationships at junior and senior level and negotiate placement with the Reinsurance Market
• Create and grow relationships with underwriters in London and International Markets.

About you

• Experience in the (re)insurance industry (2-5 years) with a good grasp of Property reinsurance, preferably US but not essential
• Good analytical and numerical skills
• Developing sales and negotiation skills
• Team-player, common sensed individual, enthusiastic in supporting a team effort
• Energetic with a strong desire to learn new things
• Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Initiative and an eagerness to drive projects to a successful conclusion
• A willingness to deal with International clients and markets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
