Job Description:Location: Leeds (ETO), UKMission:The Offer Quality – DFSR Practitioner will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Schneider Electric products and solutions are designed to be safe, robust, and reliable. This position will involve applying Design Reliability and Robustness processes, tools, and software across various squads within the line of business or hub.Main Responsibilities:
- Understand and promote the business’ DfSR practices for Leeds self-developed products.
- Build adoption of DfSR among key stakeholders within the Leeds development team.
- Assess and identify critical elements of the offer at the design level (system, subsystem, assembly, component).
- Develop a logical DfSR risk assessment plan based on the risk level of the offer from safety, robustness, and reliability perspectives.
- Develop, execute, and report on DfSR plans regularly.
- Train and coach design engineering teams on DfSR methodologies, tools, and techniques to achieve robustness and reliability targets.
- Develop technical expertise in Leeds offers, including package substations, distribution transformers, MV and LV switchgear manufactured at the Leeds factory.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of postgraduate study in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Higher degrees in Reliability Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in engineering or quality fields.
- Experience in Design for Reliability (DfSS, DfSR), power management, and electromechanical systems highly preferred.
- Certified DFSS Black Belt or internally certified Reliability expert.
- Experience with p-diagram driven DFMEA development.
- Advanced working level experience with Reliasoft and Minitab.
- Experience working in Agile Product Development environments.

- Experience in design quality fundamentals: Design for Six Sigma, reliability, Design FMEA, Voice of Customer, Mission Profile, P Diagram, design robustness.
- Fast learner, sharp, resilient, and a team player.
