Actalent is hiring Remote Pharmacy Technicians to work with Prior Authorizations!Description:

• These Technicians are reviewing Prior Authorizations for determination for a Pharmacy Services department a part of a large healthcare insurance company.
• Must either approve or deny and then send them to a Pharmacists for final review.
• Handling all health plans, and all types of medications.
• Handling some phone calls from members – inbound call.
• Process prescription exceptions which may include: resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach.
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
• Escalate questions regarding prescription to a Pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing.
• Audit files and perform quality checks.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Pharmacy Registration at resident State
• Certification as required by state of operation – PTCB or NHA
• Basic computer skills.
