We’re looking for global experts eager to join us in this endeavour contributing to a future where access to life-saving vaccines is a reality for all.We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Associate to join our Immuno-Assays group to support the running of immuno-assay development and qualification/validation programs across multiple therapeutic areas. The Research Associate is responsible for the execution of immune-assay development, qualification or validation, and the running of clinical samples to return high-quality data for clinical trials conducted by Moderna. The candidate will also maintain activities within the immunoassay laboratory including critical reagents, instruments, and buffers, and may train junior team members. The ideal candidate should be a collaborative team member and an excellent communicator to coordinate the needs from multiple projects.Here’s What You’ll Do:Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct assay development, qualification/validation, and sample analysis on a variety of platforms (ELISA, MSD, Ella, Automated ELISA Workstation, etc.).
  • Prepare media, chemicals, and reagents as required, maintaining batch records, and assisting with equipment maintenance.
  • Deliver high-quality data within defined timelines.
  • Author bioanalytical reports and draft/review SOPs.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues and report issues to the scientific lead.

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Assuming assigned general laboratory responsibilities, e.g., safety coordinator, instrument/process/technology owner, etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines. Maintain training records.
  • Spending ≥75% of the time in the laboratory environment.
  • Occasionally working overtime or weekend shifts as needed.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:

  • BSC/MSc Degree in Biology, Biotechnology or biomedical scientists with laboratory research experience in a lab environment
  • 2-3 years technical experience in Immunoassays, single and multiplex (MSD, ELLA), lab instrumentation, preferred.
  • Demonstrated level of independence and work ethics
  • Good written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good computational skills, preferably experienced with Word, Excel, Power Point, GraphPad Prism
  • Preferably knowledge of working in a regulated environment (GCP, ISO standards)
  • Preferable experience with LIMS systems.
  • This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Moderna’s site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work
