For informal enquiries, please contact Jeremy Dale (Professor of Primary Care) at Jeremy.dale@warwick.ac.uk.This is an exciting opportunity for a qualitative research fellow, interested in health services research and climate change, and enthusiastic about the opportunity to undertake important, impactful research aimed at informing the NHS Net Zero Strategy.You will join an established multi-disciplinary team working on the NIHR-funded GPNET-0 study (‘Implementation of decarbonisation actions in General Practice to help achieve a net zero NHS). This mixed methods study is investigating the institutional, organisational, professional, and patient factors that are influencing how general practice is decarbonising its activities, with the aim of making recommendations that will influence national policy and practice.Key elements of the role will involve patient and regional / national stakeholder data collection and analysis, drafting papers and reports and supporting the study’s dissemination and impact strategy.There will be opportunities and encouragement for training and personal development.This role will require a standard DBS check.About YouThe role is ideal for an energetic, highly motivated early post-doctorate researcher, ambitious to learn new skills, gain experience and consolidate on their interviewing and data analysis research skills.You will have a range of qualitative research skills, preferably in the context of NHS primary care and/or climate change.You will enjoy teamworking and have excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, suited to working within a supportive team that is collaborating with research participants and stakeholders across a wide range of organisations.You will thrive on the opportunity to contribute to drafting a large number of academic outputs, including a range of academic, policy-facing and public engagement materials, are planned.Ideally, you will be available to start work on 1st October 2024.For further information regarding the skills required for this role please see the personal specification section of the attached job description.If you are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD but have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant at the top of level 5 of the .
