Department 02477 – Residential Education Job Summary
The Coordinator for Student Leadership Programs is a 12-month, full-time, live-in, professional staff position within The Office of Residence Life and the Student Affairs Division at the University of Utah.
Reporting to an Assistant Director of Residence Life, the Coordinator for Student Leadership Programs advises the University of Utah’s Residence Hall Association (RHA) and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and supports the Community Council program to advance leadership development, and student advocacy across the Office of Residence Life’s residential communities. The Office of Residence Life and the University of Utah value interactions among individuals with varying traditions, cultures, identities, expressions, orientation, religious beliefs, economic backgrounds, and racial/ethnic origins. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus two years experience in residence life management, programming, student activities or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Demonstrated supervision, organization, planning, group dynamics, human relations and effective communication skills also required. Master’s degree in College Student Personnel or related area and one year post-master’s related experience preferred.
