We’re looking for a Resource Manager to ensure our delivery teams have the right people, in the right place, at the right time.ResponsibilitiesDelivery team resource allocations-Inputting resource allocations into our ERP system & any other tools as may be required.-Working with the relevant department Leads &/or Heads of Department &/or Account Owners to agree resource allocations across teams on a monthly basis. Reprioritising and moving allocations around in our systems in real time to reflect the changing and dynamic landscape of what is needed.-Ensuring that activity prioritisation guidelines are followed (through resolution of conflicting requests) to ensure we are focussing on our most critical activities, including month-month adjustment pulling forwards/deferring work such that our net commitments over time are met.-Escalating issues with the Head of Ops &/or relevant teams where issues are encountered, in advance wherever possible.Determining need (and route) for additional resource – reactive-Triaging requests for additional resource against key departmental metrics & sales forecasts, and working with the requestor on: (i) need for additional resource inc. period & timeframe for acquisition; (ii) level of additional resource; (iii) type (full time/fixed term/freelance); and (iv) if there is internal resource (cross dept. support) that may be reallocated.– Determine what additional approvals may be required, otherwise approving/rejecting, and then liaise with freelancers/agencies for contractors &/or inform the People team to begin recruitment.Determining need (and route) for additional resource – proactive-Analysing the ERP system and other tools and reports to identify future potential issues or challenges, including: (i) team structures; (ii) constraints in the available time (i.e. considering variance in working days and planned (or expected) absences); (iii) the impact of proposed or agreed policy changes/forecast changes on the overall ability of the team to deliver what is being asked; and (iv) scenario planning – e.g. ‘how would we resource a massive client opportunity if we win it next month’?-Analysing time tracking trends to identify where policy/guidance might not be reflective of current practice, and working with the relevant areas to determine if either or both need realignment.-Creating frameworks and networks through which contractor/freelancer resource can be readily accessed.-Supporting the Head of Ops and the relevant Department Directors &/or Heads of Departments in outsourcing of transactional load (as identified & scoped by those departments).Person specification-Workforce Planning – Experience in resource allocation, workload balancing, and optimising team capacity.-Stakeholder Collaboration – Strong communication skills to coordinate with department leads and teams, and building positive relationships.-Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to assess needs, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues proactively.-Strategic Thinking – Proactively identifying future resourcing challenges and implementing solutions.-Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in data, reporting, and analysis.-Adaptability & Flexibility – Comfortable working in a changeable environment.-Project & Task Prioritisation – Ability to determine priorities for both yourself and the wider organisation, rephasing and moving tasks around to accommodate.-Understanding of recruitment & Contractor Management – Knowledge of recruitment processes, freelancer engagement and vendor negotiations is non-essential but advantageous.Not ticking all the boxes?
