We are looking to recruit a Restaurant Manager on a temporary basis to cover holidays. This could be ongoing for the summer but initially is 25th June 2024 to 6th July 2024Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role in a high-volume, upscale dining environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems).
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Financial acumen and experience in budgeting and cost control.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Location: Berwick Upon TweedReports to: General ManagerThe Restaurant – is a premier dining destination known for its exquisite Italian cuisine, exceptional service, and warm, inviting atmosphere.Job Summary: The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Restaurant, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a positive and productive work environment for all staff members.Key Responsibilities: * Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and presentation.
  • Feedback issues to General Manager
  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise restaurant staff, including servers, hosts and bar tenders
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and employee satisfaction.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance the dining experience.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
  • Collaborate with the Management Team to develop and execute promotional strategies and events.
  • Maintain a strong online presence through social media and review platforms.
  • Participate in community events and networking to promote Amore Restaurant.
  • Facility Maintenance:
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Liaise with General Manager and Coordinate maintenance and repair work as needed.
