However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises.Location – This role is based at our London Head Office campus in Pimlico. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.FYI – We have two Marketing Activation Manager roles available both focused in the tech space. One will manage the marketing planning and activation of one of our most important tech brands and the other will work across a number of tech brands to activate campaigns across the year.About the role:Retail Media has been identified as a key enabler of profit growth across JLP and is a priority for the Partnership. We are at the start of an exciting transformation journey to evolve our capability in this space in order to help deliver more personalised experiences to delight our customers and create compelling and impactful Retail Media propositions for our clients.As Marketing Activation Manager within the John Lewis Retail Media team, you will be responsible for the delivery of the annual calendar of initiatives which have been agreed with strategic brands, as well as delivering campaigns for all other brands. You will work on developing dedicated campaigns for all brands based on the sentiment of need from brands and activating them effectively, defining the brief for these brands and brief into channels for activation. You will be working with the channels, and Seasonal campaign Category Marketing teams to coordinate branded participation in both tactical and seasonal campaigns.You will monitor the performance of all Retail Media funded campaigns, preparing PCA reports and working with the retail media Media Sales team to report performance back to brands, whilst helping to inform next year plans. You’ll be highly organised, adept in working with insight and customer segmentation, always with an eye on marketing channel effectiveness and driving outcomes for our clients.You will have a thorough understanding of and a passion for marketing, making use of a variety of marketing best practice to meet objectives set. You’ll have strong commercial acumen, natural ability with insight and data and work well under-pressure. Your ability to deliver compelling presentations will be regularly used and you will be a collaborative and proactive team member, forming part of matrix business and marketing teams to create campaigns which are bigger than the sum of the parts.Please note:We have two Marketing Activation Manager roles available both focussed in the tech space. One will manage the marketing planning and activation of one of our most important tech brands and the other will work across a number of tech brands to activate campaigns across the year.Key responsibilities:Deliver the annual calendar of initiatives and campaignsDeliver defined elements within an overall marketing campaign to support the Media Sales team, including the definition of the marketing brief, the channel and media plan, message hierarchy, creative execution, all the way through to delivery of the campaign itself being on time and on budget.Work with brand/ seasonal campaign teams to coordinate supplier participation in brand and seasonal campaignsMonitor performance of the brand funded campaigns and prepare PCA reports. Working with the Retail Media Sales team to report performance back to suppliers and inform next year plansBuild meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders; inspire, excite and motivate teams across the business.Work to ensure the consistent implementation of activity across marketing, and work with implementation teams to enable effective delivery across other functions.
