Your role: The Sales Director will be responsible for monitoring and delivering revenues across our core print and digital products.This role will be responsible for the sales strategy and budgeting, ensuring all sales teams understand the strategy and are equipped to achieve revenue goals.The role involves developing and implementing sales plans, oversight of all sales collateral and inventory, building and maintaining senior agency relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to identify opportunities and threats.

  • Collaborate with the commercial director to align sales strategies with overall business goals across both print and digital

  • Work with customer and editorial teams to understand audience strategy and align sales plans.

  • Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team targets.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching, training and development opportunities across all teams.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.

  • Work closely with the editorial and customer team to develop campaigns and initiatives that support sales objectives.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Be energetic and enthusiastic about publishing and passionate about working in the media industry.

  • You will have extensive experience in sales, with experience in a leadership role within media.

  • A deep understanding of both print and digital buying and trading and opportunities in the marketplace.

  • You will be able to articulate the importance of Times Media as a vehicle for journalism and passionate about driving Times Media revenues forward

  • An understanding of video and CTV monetisation.

  • You will have a deep understanding of both print and digital and how they are vehicles for advertising and brand growth.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
