The Role
Please note: this role is subject to successful Contract Award.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly flexible and motivated mid-level System Designs and Integration Specialist to join the programs Middleware team, where you will be building, supporting and evolving Middleware platforms within a wide range of MOD and Government based programs, and providing technical expertise in a variety of technologies to a multi-site program team.
The successful candidate will be involved in the design, development, testing, implementation and support of a sophisticated integration solution and management of associated system components. You will possess technical experience of SAP Data Services, ideally with experience in designing and developing integration applications using the product.
The position requires cross team coordination and leadership with separate, but tightly coupled development and architecture teams, infrastructure support teams, key suppliers, and other Boeing programs applying the same technologies.
As part of your role, your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, using SAP Data Services.
- Create and maintain data flows, jobs, and workflows to ensure efficient data processing.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects in existing data integration processes.
- Perform root cause analysis for data quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Adapt to changing requirements and project scopes while maintaining quality standards.
- Deliver projects and enhancements within specified timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Assist the testing team in developing test cases and scenarios for data validation.
- Provide support during the testing phase, including troubleshooting and resolving issues identified by testers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for data integration processes, including design specifications and user guides.
- Document changes and updates to existing processes for future reference.
- Work closely with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand data requirements and design solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Share knowledge and best practices related to SAP Data Services.
- Work closely with the senior SAP Data Services lead.
