Are you ready to suit up?We are hiring experienced fulltime security guards to join our team at Fleming College in Peterborough. This rewarding and fast paced position is ideal for guards looking to progress in their security career or gain valuable experience for applications to law enforcement or corrections. As you work at Fleming with GardaWorld, you will gain additional training and experience to continue along a path to higher level rates and positions. We ensure opportunities for growth and development in both skills and monetary compensation for our team at the college.Please note: Students currently enrolled at Fleming College are not permitted to work security with GardaWorld on campus.Pay Rate: $18.42/Hour to startSchedule: Please read the schedule below; only applicants who know and are able to work the full schedule will be considered. Any applicant that applies without being able to work this full rotation will be disqualified for consideration of employment.FULL-TIME continental rotation; two weeks days (0700-1900) then two weeks nights (1900-0700). Week #1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday / Week #2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (Guards will work week #1 and week#2 on days, then work week #1 and week#2 on nights)What’s in it for you?

What does a Security Guard in Peterborough do?
- Interior and exterior patrols
- Access control, security escorts, response to calls for service
- Emergency assistance, first aid or any other intervention
- Detect, challenge and relocate unwanted persons
- Evacuating the building in case of emergency
Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Peterborough
- A valid security guard license and first aid card
- Available to work flexible hours
- Have a clear criminal background
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Valid G Driver’s licence and clean drivers abstract (required)
- Previous experience in security
