  • Directs multiple functions within the local installation’s total security program covering subprograms areas such as Information, Industrial, Personnel, and Operations Security. Duties may include significant involvement with the agency Foreign Disclosure Program and classified information issues up through the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) level.
  • Administer the Test and Industrial Security programs
  • Serve as the technical expert for security and information protection matters for the organization
  • Directly coordinate with multiple test organizations to interpret and implement security requirements
  • Develop organizational and information protection performance goals for Industrial and Test security
  • Provide technical expertise across multiple organizations for the protection of sensitive information
  • Develop and conduct security reviews of information protection operations to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements

  • Telework Information: Up to 40% telework possible (must reside in local area)

  • Obtain and maintain Top Secret Security clearance
  • Experience with Air Force Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation processes desired
  • This is a designated Drug Testing Position
  • Experience navigating complex regulatory requirements and communicating those requirements to a broad audience desired
  • Knowledge of multiple security disciplines (PERSEC, INFOSEC, OPSEC, Foreign Disclosure) desired

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) required within two years

QualificationsFor additional information on direct hire opportunities with the Air Force please click .In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management positions locatedSPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03 or equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 in the Federal Service. Specialized experiences is experience with Air Force Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation processes, navigating complex regulatory requirements and communicating those requirements to a broad audience, and knowledge of multiple security disciplines (PERSEC, INFOSEC, OPSEC, Foreign Disclosure)Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) * Knowledge of a wide range of security and information protection concepts, principles, and practices to review independently, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems. Comprehensive knowledge of security policy requirements to function as technical authority in multiple security specialties in order to resolve major conflicts in policy, procedure and program objectives.

  • Knowledge of analytical methods for determining and evaluating vulnerability threats, intelligence data, and other specialized areas resulting in possible program compromise.
  • Ability to work independently planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of the operations of multiple security programs in attaining organizational operational and test mission activities.
  • Ability to interpret, establish and monitor operating security programs to meet specific test and operational program situations involving multi-security classification and highly classified information, facilities, devices and operations.
