Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant – SEMH FocusAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant, with a focus on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), to join a welcoming primary school in Toxteth (L8). This long-term role is set to begin in January and will last for two terms.Role OverviewThe school is looking for a committed support assistant to provide one-to-one support for a reception pupil who requires academic and social assistance. This role is essential for fostering a positive, nurturing environment to support the pupil’s individual learning journey.Ideal Candidate Requirements
- Experience with SEN pupils: Previous experience working with SEN pupils is essential.
- De-escalation skills: A strong understanding of effective de-escalation techniques.
- Individualised Support: Ability to provide regular updates and progress reports based on tailored education plans, particularly in an SEMH context.

- Hours: 8:45 AM – 3:15 PM
