Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Contract-to-Hire)Location: Remote (United States)Duration: 4 Months (Contract)Start Date: ImmediateVisa Sponsorship: Not available currentlyRequirementsWe are seeking a senior data engineer to oversee the design and deployment of a data warehouse for a fast-growing organization. This position focuses on managing the end-to-end implementation, including data exploration, architecture design, ETL processes, and business intelligence (BI) reporting. The role will involve working with various internal stakeholders to ensure the data warehouse meets operational, compliance, and strategic needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a data warehouse/data lake, including gathering requirements, data modeling, architecture design, and data integration.
  • Execute the full project lifecycle from data exploration, ETL development, to deployment and preparing for post-launch support.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure the data warehouse supports automated reporting, business intelligence dashboards, and enhanced decision-making.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, and security protocols are established, particularly in compliance with industry regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Coordinate with technical teams to integrate various systems’ data into the data warehouse, ensuring seamless data flow between departments.
  • Work with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau) to enable self-service reporting capabilities for stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership in managing ETL processes and ensuring data is properly cleansed, standardized, and validated.
  • Train and support client teams on how to use and maintain the data warehouse infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of data warehouse implementation, including designing architecture, managing ETL processes, and integrating with business intelligence platforms.
  • Strong expertise in cloud-based data warehousing solutions, preferably with experience using Microsoft Azure, SQL databases, Spark
  • Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI or Tableau, with the ability to design and deploy dashboards
  • Solid knowledge of data governance, compliance standards (HIPAA), and best practices in data security.
  • Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Airflow, or similar)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and deliver results within tight timelines.

  • Experience working in healthcare
  • Experience with large-scale data migrations and cloud-based solutions
