About the Company???Our client is a successful software product company in East Toronto looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer. This is a full-time position, flexible-hybrid in East GTA.??About the Opportunity?This is a Data Engineer position which will work with all the data-related tools and environments in the company.Data stack: MySQL 5.7 and Postgres (MySQL used more), Talend/Java for ETL, Jaspersoft for reporting and client reporting portals (very important, they have 200+ environments with different permissions/domains/configurations in Jaspersoft), moving slowly toward AWS EC2 / RDS / Mysql / Aurora.In the future will implement noSQL DBs like MongoDB or Cassandra, but not yet.About You?Expert SQL skills (window functions, aggregate functions, variables, explain plans, hints, etc)Expert data modelling skills (levels of normal forms, star schemas, etc)Experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL databasesSenior level experience with ETL, Data WarehousingGood communication skillsNice to haveExperience with Jaspersoft environments (specifically Pro edition)Java / TalendAWS RDS / Redshift / Aurora / MysqlPostgreSQLSalary Range?$100,000 – 140,000/year or more, based on experience?How to Apply?Click the “Apply Now” button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
