We’re happy to talk about how you want to work.Work Pattern: Fixed term/Secondment, Full Time, 37 hours per week (part time options are available)You must have eligibility and entitlement to work in the UK which is required to be maintained throughout your period of employment.Who We AreNHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.The Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHP) Directorate includes the Spiritual Care and Healthcare Chaplaincy workstreams and works at a national level to support the delivery of NES’s strategic plan and works in response to commissions from the Scottish Government, Territorial and National Boards and a range of stakeholders to develop Workforce Education.Our work and partnerships support practitioners working in Health and Social Care to develop throughout their careers and with high quality accessible resources to support their ongoing professional development.The Workforce, Education and Career Development Programme sits within the NMAHP Directorate and works with collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners. The programme is commissioned to develop and deliver education and career pathways for all levels of practice, developing education frameworks and resources to support the NMAHP workforce across the 4 pillars of practice. Our resources support practitioners, educators and managers across all career levels, transforming roles, advancing practice and supporting workforce planning.The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to help deliver on the aims and objectives of a commissioned project to support Transforming AHP Roles – Advancing Practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our dynamic team to build effective relationships with key stakeholders to support the development of AHPs working at advanced levels of practice.Working as a Senior Educator within the NMAHP Workforce, Education and Career Development Programme, you will have the opportunity to work in partnership with the AHP community working in Health and Social Care to lead on the development of a vision for the development of AHP Advanced Practice roles in Scotland.Do you enjoy leading on and collaborating with a wide range of partners at all levels, communicating a shared vision and sense of purpose?Do you enjoy managing a small team and working at pace and being creative and adaptive within the ever-changing environment of Health and Social Care?Do you want to play a key role in making a difference to the role, career and educational development of AHPs working at advanced levels of practice in Scotland?   • Transferable skills from your area of expertise
  • Extensive experience of working at strategic level and delivering national projects/programmes of work
  • Extensive experience of working with strategic stakeholders and a confident influencer and negotiator who can quickly establish trust and credibility
  • Extensive experience and understanding of group dynamics and organisational change processes
  • Experience of delivering presentations to a variety of audiences on a local and national basis to enhance engagement and collaboration
  • Ability to work on own initiative, to organise and prioritise workload, and to meet strict deadlines
  • Experience of line management and coaching/mentoring experience
  • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, care and compassion when dealing with others, utilising tact and persuasion skills when necessary
