Job DescriptionBring your leadership skills and help drive growth in a dynamic and strategically important part of the LEGO Group!Please note that no relocation assistance is offered for this position.Core ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Finance Manager will be the Finance Business Partner to the VP LEGO Retail Marketing. They will be working very closely with the Marketing Planning & Performance team and will:

  • Focus on driving efficiency and effectiveness of total LEGO Retail marketing spend.
  • Provide recommendations based on insights & data in trade-off discussions on full funnel marketing and where best to allocate marketing budgets (offline and online) to optimize spend.
  • Partner marketing teams on both campaigns and “always on levers” and ensure holistic planning with key BUs outside of LEGO Retail.
  • Ensure robust campaign after-action reviews (sales and ROI) with new learnings and insights embedded into marketing budgets.
  • Ensure good governance of total LEGO Retail marketing spend, work with the marketing teams on spend follow-up and provide good visibility of marketing spend.
  • Ensure accurate month-end close, reporting and commentary as well as leading delivery of annual planning and forecast processes.
  • Drive continuous improvements in our processes and ways of working.
  • Lead 1 finance resource supporting Retail Marketing.

Play your part in our team succeedingThe Senior Finance Manager will be part of the LEGO Retail finance team. LEGO Retail Finance consists of ~17 colleagues based across Europe, the US and Asia. This role will report into the LEGO.com Finance Director (who reports to the Head of LEGO Retail Finance Senior Director).LEGO Retail plays an integral part on delivering our reach to children while also supporting our premium/quality positioning as a brand. In order to do this, LEGO Retail must continue to develop to remain relevant with shopper needs and shifts in their shopping behaviours. One of the key challenges in this role is how we ensure we optimise our full funnel marketing spend across all channels and have the right trade-off discussions grounded in insights and data.Do you have what it takes?

  • The ability to demonstrate financial foresight / management accounting proficiency
  • Experience working within the finance area in a global organisation. This includes experience within commercial finance and business partnering
  • Finance experience in a retail business is a must! Retail Finance Marketing Experience (both offline and digital) would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Analytical approach, enjoying getting to the route of issues and making improvements
  • Comfortable challenging and influencing key partners
  • Proficient in Excel, SAP and PowerPoint
