Senior Information Security Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Security Engineer will work closely with security management to build, implement and maintain security infrastructure. The Senior Information Security Engineer will work closely with the VP of Information Security in steering the technical direction of the security program. This role ensures the company’s information assets are adequately protected against current/future threats, and complies with all regulatory and compliance requirements. 

 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Build, implement and maintain security infrastructure to support;
• Ensure that the company’s information assets are adequately protected against current/future threats, and complies with all regulatory and compliance requirements.

 

Essential Skills

• Experience in security roles;
• Must have worked in a SOC 2 / ISO 27001 environment. Preference for candidates familiar with FedRamp;
• Purple team mindset with experience with in offensive security and defensive mitigations;
• Proven history working with Engineering teams on diverse problems from vulnerability management to architectural design;
• Familiarity with practical application of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices;
• Demonstrable practical application of current security models, technologies, trends and techniques;
• Strong understanding of current and emerging security threats and mitigations;

 

 

Highly Desirable Skills

• Professional technical certifications with hands-on component such as GIAC or OSCP a plus;
• Strong commitment to documentation and sharing knowledge;
• Project management skills, especially breaking down large projects and assigning smaller tasks to junior engineers;
• Strong knowledge and prior experience in DAST/SAST, SCA, XDR, SIEM, IDS;
• Expert in cloud security, especially AWS;
• Experience with security automation;
• Experience building systems to requirements;
• Previous SaaS experience a plus;
• Proven fluency in Python, Go, Bash or other commonly used language;
